Drug Abuse - A threat to the society?

Drugs are good for curing a disease. Although, I prefer Ayurveda over the scientific pills. But, why do people start consuming drugs when they are not at all required? I would say if Ayurveda can cure your diseases, don't consume drugs and people set out to consume them even when not required - It is rightly termed drug abuse.

It poses a threat to our health, nation, society and what not? The people who consume these drugs become a burden for everyone. How can a drugged person handle the country? How can that person work for the progress of the country, when that person is not even able to handle himself?

Unfortunately, this problem is the most scene in Punjab. People are think taking drugs illegally, drinking, smoking and all sorts of dangerous things are cool. They consider themselves party animals and feel happy about it. Men here believe it makes them more manly. Sadly, this is the harsh truth. The land rich in cultures is, today, spoiled with the drug system going into its roots.

It is too much expensive! I heard from somewhere a crore rupees for a kg of heroin! A crore, really? The urge to consume it does not see its price. The hard earned money of parents is spoiled for such purpose. Why is it such that people don't even understand the value of money?

So, from today, if you come across any such person, contact the police and family. Don't ever go near to these things. Once you consume, you will get used to it. STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS. Please understand. It is of no use. Stop 'Drug Abuse'.
